stop Tucker's point-blank shot.
Greely scores! Leland Copenhagen's blast from the left
circle gets past the York goalie.
Celebrate! Tied 1-1.
Only minutes later, York goes back on top.
Good Ranger pressure keeps the puck in the Wildcat end.
A tantalizing shot, that goes just wide of the net.
In the third, Jake Downey and Scott Fournier come to the
rescue as Matt Labbe stares down the York shooter. Matt made

this time, but ...
... York soon gets their third goal to go back on top, 3-2.
Another Wildcat goal gives them a two goal lead with about
six minutes to play.
Jesse Shavel has the attention of six Wildcats as he
works the puck in from the corner.
Tipped by a defenseman, Jesse's pass seems to float in the air
between Kevin Hart and Leland Copenhagen.
The puck then gets knocked behind the goal, where ...
... Kevin Hart tries to pry it loose.

Charlie Harwood
sneaks one by the Wildcat keeper.
Greely's on the move, closing the gap to one goal with
1:50 left in the game.
Timeout to plan the final assault on the York goal.
With the goalie pulled and six attackers in the York end,
Greely applies pressure ...
... in waves, with chance after chance ...
... around the goal.
Finally, time appears to run out and the Wildcats
begin to celebrate. But, ...
... the whistle blew with 2.1 seconds left. The time - enough for one more play - is put back on the clock. Greely wins the faceoff and gets a shot off, but it doesn't reach the net.
Now it's over, and the York Wildcats are the
Western Maine Class B Champions.
