- Girls Sanctioning-Joel Harris/Bruce McKay: 10 girls teams are needed to present letters from their principals to the MPA before the sport can be considered for sanctioning. There have been a few so far, the exact number is not known approximately 5-7. Once the MPA receives the 10 letters, it is a two year process. The first step we can take toward future sanctioning is becoming a school sanctioned “Club” team which the committee is looking in to. The sanctioning committee would have to present a plan to the booster club and Jack Hardy the athletic director this summer to be presented to the MSAD 51 Board of Directors in the fall. Handouts were passed out and if you are a paid member and would like a copy of them contact Joel Harris @Hjoel@hotmail.com. Concerns were discussed regarding money, voting, and effect on boys team. If anyone is interested in being on a transition committee we would like both girls and boys parents represented contact Paul Godin @pgodin1@maine.rr.com.
